BOLIVIA, Potosí, gold 8 scudos, 1856 FJ/MJ, NGC MS 61, ex-Derman. KM-116; Fr-34. Choice strike in rich gold color with red toning above head, faint hairlines on Bolívar side and adjustment marks on mountain but overall an exemplary grade that would be finest in the NGC census except for the fact that the over-assayer (which is clear) was missed on the label. Pedigreed to the Alberto "Coco" Derman collection (stated on label).
